SPENCER GALLAGHER Earns Fourth-Place Finish at Madison International Speedway

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (August 26, 2013) – Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 Allegiant Travel Chevrolet finished fourth in the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menard’s Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200 at Madison International Speedway on Sunday.

Gallagher started the race from the sixth position and had raced his way up to fifth when the first caution flag fell on lap 50. Crew chief Ryan “Pickle” London called Gallagher to pit road during the caution for right-side tires, fuel and a track bar adjustment, as Gallagher noted the car had a tight-handling condition.

The race restarted on lap 59 with Gallagher in the sixth position and he worked his way into the top five before a second caution approached on lap 68. Gallagher reported to London that the car was still tight through the turns, but the team opted not to pit and save track position.

As the race reached the halfway mark at lap 100, the field became more competitive with heavy traffic and nonstop green-flag racing. Gallagher raced hard, reaching as high as second place. He continued to maintain a top-five position throughout the remaining laps and was scored fourth when he crossed the finish line on lap 200.
